One of the most important parts of looking after your artwork, is to ensure that it is correctly and acid free framed. The wrong frame and silently damage a artwork over time without you knowing it.
Always ask for acid free materials to be used when framing.
To ensure the longevity of your artwork, keep it out of direct sunlight, avoid extreme temperatures, and dust it regularly with a soft cloth.
Avoid hanging works on paper in small humid areas, like bathrooms, because the paper will buckle due to the moisture, moulding will happen and the artwork will slowly be damaged.
Ceramics tableware - Avoid dishwashers, hand wash only
Wooden Furniture - apply regular wood oil every few weeks, apply, wait to dry and buff with a dry cloth
Wood Turned bowls and tableware and charcuterie boards, You can clean with regular soapy water, when comes to the charcuterie board, you can cut a lemon in half, put course salt on and clean it in circular motions. rinse with clean water. Once board is dry apply linseed and beeswax blend to keep it looking perfect.
